As a single mother of two young girls, I found myself down on my luck a few months ago. I had just escaped a domestic violence situation that I had been in for years. I had moved to another state and had absolutely nothing, not even a vehicle to get myself and my children around. Thanks to The River Ellis Foundation I was able to eliminate one of my major worries! They helped fund a vehicle for myself. This completely took the stress of how I will get to work, how I was going to pick my daughter up from school, or take my girls to medical appointments off of my plate. I cannot be more thankful for their compassion and help. Without their kindness I wouldn’t have been able to get back on my feet as fast or provide security to my family. I have now saved up enough money to live in my own place thanks to their help. I am finally able to see a sunrise for the first time in a long time. This experience has definitely inspired me to pay it forward as soon as I am able. Thank you again!
