You may remember The Brown Family, a previous REF recipient who lost their baby Elijah at 4 months old. We are overwhelmed with joy to share that they welcomed a heathy baby boy, Isaiah, in February.
A note from their mom:
“The River Ellis Foundation has been a huge blessing in our life at a time when we needed it the most. Our sweet baby boy, Elijah, was born prematurely at 28 weeks and was only 1 pound and 2oz. On top of that, he had other major health complications. We stayed in a hotel for almost a month and The River Ellis Foundation provided us with enough gift cards to feed our 4 children the entire month we were there. They also provided us with a hotel during Elijah’s last week so that we were able to spend as much time as possible with him. Elijah passed away on Tuesday, August 25th 2020 at 4 months old. The River Ellis Foundation is a true godsend and I could never put into words how extremely grateful we were to have them by our side, helping us during the most difficult time in our lives.”
